Labor Law

If you have been injured in a construction accident from a height off the ground such as falling from a scaffold, or from a roof, or from  a ladder or from other construction equipment, you may be entitled to recover under New York's Labor Law, Section 240(1). This is a strict liability section of New York Law. You may also have a cause of action pursuant to Section 241(6) of the Labor Law or Section 200 of the Labor Law as well as common law negligence. We can explain these sections of law to you to see if you have such a cause of action.

If you have sustained an elevated height injury in a construction setting, and you want to know if you have a case under the New York State Labor Law, call our office. We can help you understand this complicated law to see if your case qualifies.
